Orthopaedic surgery
This area is handled by 12 orthopaedic surgeons covering surgical management of osteo-articular, muscular, tendinous and ligamentous pathologies:
- upper limbs (shoulders, elbows and hands).
- and lower limbs (hips, knees, ankles and feet).
This surgery is aimed at patients of all ages with traumatic and degenerative pathologies and sports injuries.
CARE PROGRAMMES
Outpatient
Improvements in surgical and anaesthetic techniques have expanded the list of outpatient procedures available: meniscus, ligamentoplasty of the knee, shoulder surgery, foot surgery, knee and hip prosthesis.
Full hospitalization
Patients who cannot be treated as outpatients can be hospitalized (overnight stay). The length of stay will depend on the general state of health of the patient, the type of surgery and the mode of care.
A Rapid Recovery Programme, specific to hip and knee replacement surgery patients, has been developed so patients will recover quickly and return home 1 or 2 days after surgery.
The FRC (Follow-up and Rehabilitation Care) department at the Rhéna Clinic provides a personalised programme of postoperative care which aims to help patients become independent again. Our teams are also committed to identifying, understanding and treating pain.
Surgeons work in close collaboration with the team of physiotherapists practising at the Rhéna clinic.
