Gynaecology
Gynaecology is a medical/surgical speciality that treats:
- diseases of the female genital system (uterus, ovaries, vagina, fallopian tubes, vulva, etc.).
- the medical and surgical management of infertility.
It is covered by 4 gynaecologists who provide the following main procedures:
- Pelvic oncology.
- Surgery for non-cancerous pathologies of the digestive tract.
- Surgery for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders.
Surgical procedures are based on modern techniques that use medical imaging with abdominal and endovaginal ultrasound, as well as minimally-invasive surgery with a full endoscopic exploration: laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy and diagnostic, colposcopy. Most gynaecological surgery can be performed on an outpatient basis thanks to the minimally invasive techniques used.
The Rhéna clinic has the oncology authorisation for gynaecological surgery.
